Q: What type of food is provided for studio and Aspinwall venue parties? Can we bring our own food?

An assortment of kid-friendly, packaged snacks (crackers, granola bars, etc.) and juice boxes will be served at the beginning of the party during our warm up activity as we wait for all guests to arrive. Our signature cupcake decorating activity will happen towards the end of the party. We will offer chocolate or vanilla cupcakes with icing and decorations for child guests and will have an allergy-friendly alternative for this activity. Cupcakes and sparkling water can be added for adult guests, however, the decorating activity will be for children only. Please inform us of any known allergies among your guests!

You may bring your own additional food if you'd like! It must be simple, easy to serve finger food (pizza, sandwiches, fruit or veggie tray). It will be served at the beginning of the party along with our provided snacks. We do not have a kitchen at the studio and cannot keep food warm - no crockpots or open flames. Due to the time and tools needed, we do not allow cakes that must be cut to be served at studio parties.

Q: What should we wear to a party?

We will provide aprons for children and most materials will be "washable" but you will want to dress you and your child in clothing you won't mind getting potentially dirty/wet/painted on.

Q: What is the payment schedule for a birthday party? 

​

A: You will pay a non-refundable booking fee at booking (when you reserve your date and time using this form), we will then communicate with you to finalize all the details, sign a contract, and the remaining portion is billed 14 days before the event.

 

 

Q: I’m hosting a party at my home/location of my choice, when does Dah Dah show up to start set up? 

 

A: We will arrive 30 minutes before your activity start time to make sure everything is set up!

Q: My child has allergies - will this be safe for them?

 

We will be using a variety of materials in class which will very often include food materials. Nothing in class is meant to be eaten but some kids may be tempted to put the materials in their mouths. If your child has a severe allergy, please contact us before signing up!

 

Q: Can siblings younger than 2 join?

Yes, they are welcome to come! Anyone 2 and older should be considered a participating child and included in your guest count. If you have any guests younger than 2 that you think will be upset not doing the take home project, enjoying snack and cupcakes or getting a party favor, please include them in the guest count OR prepare their adults ahead of time that they are not included in the participating guest count and should not expect those things.
